that was formed by a group of artists and intellectuals in Baghdad outside the region. For introducing the Association and its achievements Shafaq had this interview with Abdul Hussein Haidari, head of the association:
Q * What are the objectives behind the establishment of the Association?

Th step came to express the faith of the young people in the role of the intellectuals in the question of progress and development of Kurdish society in general and particularly in the areas of Baghdad and the center and south and to reflect the concerns and aspirations and hopes of the Kurdish intellectuals and the artists, who have been marginalized since the establishment of the Iraqi state till now.

Q- To what extent the Association has been able to achieve the goals established for?
The age of the Association is very short , it is only three years of work .During its first and second years its work was internal, i.e. we had to focus in our activities on the technical side, so we were able to confine our efforts in directing and producing theater works that were based on , national belonging and looking for issues of the Kurds through the national figures, who have fought and sacrificed themselves for the  freedom of the people such as the martyred Layla Qassim. During these two years we have provided more than six to seven works which were the base for broader movement. In addition to the theater activities we held two seminars, the first was about" The role of Kurdish intellectuals and the artists in society" and the second was about" The census and the statistics in the balance" and we will issue in the near the Association magazine (The Oasis).
Q - What are the main activities of the Association has since its inception?

We are moving slowly and we did not expand in the media side but during this period since the beginning of this year the association was able to move steadily to the polarization of the parties and there were some of them who were unaware of the actual activities of the Association. Our association has proved its right loyalty and its right march and now it has got great resonance. Our audience very well
