Shafaq News / A source stated early Tuesday that a delegation of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) headed by Deputy Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister, will visit Baghdad in the coming days to complete bilateral talks between the two sides to resolve the differences and outstanding issues, especially with regard to the region's share of the budget, salary financing, and oil export.

The delegation had been waiting for the completion of the federal government’s formation to return to Baghdad and resume talks, the source told Shafaq News agency.

The source added that there is hope for reaching an agreement to solve all the problems that were raised during the delegation's previous visits.

Previously, KRG delegation held two visits to the capital, Baghdad, after the previous federal government headed by Adel Abdul Mahdi stopped financing the salaries of employees and workers in the public sector in Kurdistan.

The differences and pending issues between Erbil and Baghdad are based on the region's share of financial budgets, the entitlements of Peshmerga forces, the export of oil, and the disputed areas covered by Article 140 of the permanent Iraqi constitution.

KRG has expressed, on numerous occasions and times, its willingness to deliver 250,000 barrels of crude oil per day in exchange for the Iraqi government’s funding of 450 billion Iraqi dinars for salaries per month.
